Flake
Note the belly of the flake. The bulb of percussion can be seen in the upper section of the picture and the lines of force in the lower section of the flake
Blades
Blades are flakes which are parallel sided and twice as long as they are wide. The blade above has been transformed into an end scraper, while the blade below has been broken into sections for the insertion into a bone or antler handle. Note the scars representing blades previously struck from the core before these blades were detached.
